Missing people are a problem all over the world, least of all for the family they leave behind who have no closure on whether they have moved, been killed, kidnapped, run away or committed suicide.

The Australian Federal Police used geotargetted pre-roll to send out short 5 second awareness posters to people on YouTube, asking if they had seen people.  The “Skip” button was modified to be a “No I haven’t/Yes I have”, to help add new information to ongoing cases.

in 5 days, 1.2million people saw the videos, with 238 people clicking that they have seen the person, and adding vital information to the campaign.
