Every smoker knows about the health problems that come with the habit, but nobody seems to care. To counteract this problem, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation sent young children up to smokers to ask for a light for their cigarettes. Every smoker declines, listing off a number of health issues, before the child asks “Why do you smoke then?” before handing them a leaflet and leaving. A powerful piece of advertising that (from a non-smoker’s view) would make you think twice about smoking.
What I find particularly interesting is that, as the video points out at the end, no body throws their leaflets away, clearly stunned by what they have seen.
