Whenever somebody speaks of child labour, all thoughts automatically go to children working in sweatshop conditions for little pay.

Thankfully, this doesn’t happen in Canada*.  However, one agency has taken the concept of “take your child to work day”, which they find very popular over the pond, and invited children in to work for a full day.  They were given a brief, told to create the ads and then pitch it to the clients.  Best of all, the clients had no idea that they were going to be pitched to by a group of children!

They seemed to really enjoy their time in the industry, one youngster highlighting the pizza at lunchtime as a personal favourite.  Another highlight was another kid saying “the job’s not hard, but making good ads people will like is hard”.
